Henkel Corporation has introduced the Loctite® Indigo™ CureJet™ LED, a high powered, fully-visible LED spot curing system designed to safely and immediately cure the latest visible light cure adhesives.

This innovative system virtually eliminates substrate heating and emits no UV wavelengths. The LED light source operates effectively up to five times longer than typical UV bulbs, delivering consistent performance, long-term reliability, and lower overall operating/maintenance costs. Additionally, since the system eliminates liquid-filled light guides that degrade over time, replacement costs are reduced.

The Loctite Indigo™ CureJet™ LED can be used in a wide range of industrial and medical assembly applications, and is ideal for UV blocking clear and select colored substrates including translucent variations of blue, purple, gray, white and green. Designed for high speed processing, the system offers a typical output up to 4.3 W/cm2 over the focused 0.38-inch diameter cure area, and can be operated in timed or continuous-duty modes without overheating. The Loctite Indigo™ CureJet™ LED offers the highest powered LED currently available, instant on/off capabilities to prevent lengthy warm-up times, and cure depths as high as 0.5-inch. The system's low heat output delivers excellent results on temperature sensitive substrates.

The complete Loctite Indigo™ CureJet™ LED system includes the light source, controller and connection cable, and features internal diagnostics and a digital I/O port with optional PLC interface cable. Units are stackable with one-inch center-to-center spacing for applications requiring larger or multiple cure areas.
