Henkel Committed to Customer Training - Three Unique Loctite® Adhesive Educational Programs Provide
Rocky Hill, Conn. — February 8, 2007… To demonstrate the company's commitment to education on adhesives and sealants, Henkel Corporation offers three unique adhesive training programs for manufacturers and design engineers. These programs are designed to improve the overall manufacturing process, reduce costs, and enhance product performance and reliability.
The Loctite® training programs include Plant Surveys and On-Site Technology Workshops, both of which are scheduled at the customer's convenience and conducted in the customer's facility at no cost. The third training program, Loctite® Customer Training Schools are held at locations throughout North America and are open to the public.
A Plant Survey is a detailed evaluation of an individual manufacturing process that identifies potential cost savings and process improvements. At a survey, a Loctite® adhesive and sealant specialist tours all production lines and subassembly areas, then prepares a thorough, written report detailing cost saving opportunities and analyzing the expenses involved with implementing each recommendation.
Loctite® On-Site Technology Workshops are customized modular training programs where attendees learn methods of automating manual adhesive processes, increasing process efficiency, reducing work-in-progress and manufacturing costs, improving throughput, and increasing quality and reliability. The length of the workshop is determined in advance, and attendees can choose from topics including bonding, retaining, gasketing, threadlocking, potting/encapsulating, thread sealing, and curing/ dispensing equipment.
Loctite® Customer Training Schools cover the same topics as On-Site Technology Workshops but cannot be customized to the interests of attendees from one company or group.
Henkel also offers On-Site Technology Workshops and Customer Training Schools that have been specially developed to the interests of medical device and electric motor manufacturers.
