External Assessment
Research institutes and sustainability analysts regularly assess how companies balance economic, ecological and social factors. Henkel welcomes these external assessments of sustainability performance, which result in greater market transparency. Cross-sectoral sustainability and ethical indexes also play an increasingly important role in international capital markets. Henkel’s leading role in sustainable development and corporate social responsibility is confirmed by many international rating organizations and sustainability analysts:
World's Most Ethical Companies
New York: In March 2010, the Ethisphere Institute, New York, and Forbes business magazine again included Henkel in their “World’s Most Ethical Companies” ranking list. The companies in the list are assessed in the categories of corporate governance, innovation, executive leadership style, internal management systems, reputation management, and corporate citizenship.
Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Zürich/New York: SAM Indexes GmbH has reassessed the company listings for the 2010 Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes: for the fourth time in a row, Henkel has been confirmed as the sustainability leader in the Non-Durable Household Products market sector of the DJSI World and the European DJSI STOXX indexes. The annual assessment is based on an evaluation of the economic, ecological and social performance of the individual companies.
